Welcome to The YachtCentre
A central listing of new and used yachts currently available
from boat builders, brokers and private sellers.

The YachtCentre is a privately financed, 'not-for-profit' website produced by yachtsmen for fellow members of the yachting fraternity. Our purpose is to assist you by bringing together up-to-the-minute information about the new and used yachts currently available.

Now in its 4th year, The YachtCentre has become one of the major yachting sites on the web with thousands of hits every day from all over the world. We are completely independent and have no business dealings or connections with any brokers or yacht builders. We are not involved with any negotiations between buyer and seller and we do not receive payments or commissions of any kind other than a small admin fee from private sellers.

If you are looking for a new or used boat we hope that you will find this site helpful. In return, we would appreciate any comments or suggestions that you may have as to how we can improve the site. You can contact us at
admin@theyachtcentre.com

Currently, we are installing a new, larger server which will enable us to add more yachts and information about all aspects of the world of yachting - so please visit us often to see how we are progressing.

Thank you for visiting.

Helpful Hints for using The YachtCentre

Please remember, the use of this site is completely free to both the visitor and the broker so you can browse as much as you wish for as long as you like. All that we ask is that you enjoy your visit to The YachtCentre.

We aim to give you a brief description of the various yachts and then provide a link through to the relevant broker/sales office from whom you can obtain further details. For your further convenience, you will see at the top of each page a banner offering information or services which will be of interest to yachtsmen.

If you would like to read more about the organisations mentioned in the banners then you can click on the banner to link through to the relevant website.

If you make an enquiry on the linked-to site then we would appreciate your mentioning that you saw the company's name on The YachtCentre.

The YachtCentre website is divided into two main sections:-

1) New yachts
2) Used yachts

Each of these sections is further divided into:-

1) Sailing yachts
2) Motor yachts

You can choose the appropriate pages by clicking on the relevant section of the "Brass Plaque" (on the left).

Which ever section you choose to view, you will be taken to a main menu page where you will be able to select from one of the four available options. ie Price, Size, Class or Broker.

The reason that we do not use multiple choice selections is that we have found that too detailed a selection leads to potentially suitable matches being missed.

Furthermore, detailed selections take far too long to perform and time is something which is at a premium when using the Internet.

The YachtCentre aims to provide you with the fastest possible access to those yachts which might be of interest to you.

Having made your selection, you will be presented with the first page of brief yacht details for your perusal. The yachts will be presented in order of price or size depending on which category you chose.

In order to see a larger picture and a brief description of a yacht, you can click onto the small picture. Where a picture is not yet available you can still get a further description by clicking in the space which the photograph would occupy.

By clicking on the Brokers button you will be presented with the full details of the broker's address, telephone, fax, email and website address. This will appear in a small pop-up window on top of the current window. From this you can send an email or link through to the broker's website.

The broker's site will display in the new window which you can resize to suit by dragging a side or corner in the normal way

When you have finished looking at the yachts on that site, you can return to The YachtCentre by simply closing the pop-up window. This can be done by using the normal 'X' button at the top right hand corner of the pop-up screen.

The Enquiry button will display an enquiry page in a new pop-up window. The enquiry form will enable you to fill in your full particulars and details of what type of yacht you are seeking.

The details of the yacht connected with that particular button are automatically included so you can just fill in your personal details and send the form in the knowledge that the broker receiving the enquiry will know which yacht it was that interested you.

When you wish to move to the another page, you should scroll to the bottom of the current page and select either the next or previous page or simply click on the number of the page that you would like to view.

For example, if you have chosen to view a size range, you may wish to see the larger end of the range first. In which case you can move directly to the last page and work your way backwards through to the lower limit of your interest.

At any time, you can return to the menu page by clicking on the link at the bottom of the current page.

The fourth selection option on the menu page is that for selecting out all those yachts held by a certain broker. The reason for this is that you may see a yacht which you like the look of while searching on Price, Size or Class.

Before contacting the broker's office you may choose to see what else they have which could be of interest. By looking through that particular broker's full listing, you can save having to make repeated requests for information from the same source.
